Just when you thought you'd seen it all, a new bead comes to town. Meet Tila -- it's a small tile-shaped bead with two holes from the Miyuki Co., which is known for its Delica beads. This versatile new bead changes the way we think not only about stitching projects but about stringing, wire and elastic projects as well.
Let's take a look at the physical properties of the Tila bead. It is precisely cut to 5mm by 5mm and is 1.9mm thick with rounded sides. It has two 0.8mm holes running through it.
