Note: Attach beaded strands to chains using 6mm jump rings, by crimping beading wire onto chain, or by opening open links of chain as described in Working With Chains technique article. Make sure to check if your chains have open or closed links before beginning this project. That will dictate what techniques you will use to attach your beaded strands to your chain. Follow pattern provided or string beads as desired, many beads in this material are sold by the strand.
- Thread a crimp bead onto a length of beading wire, slide crimp bead down 1 inch from end. Thread end of wire back through crimp bead; create a small loop, crimp and trim short tail of wire. Note: If you are going to connect a strand to a closed-link chain, thread beading wire through link of chain (or chains) and then back through crimp bead before crimping.
- Thread two daisy spacers, eight garnet chips, two daisy spacers and a crimp bead onto wire. Thread end of wire back through crimp bead forming a small loop; crimp and trim short tail creating a garnet strand.
