Quick & Easy Earrings

Some of you have asked recently how to make earrings. There are many ways to make earrings. Here is one easy way. You will need two head pins, two earring findings, round-nose pliers and side cutters (or your multi-tool).

Head pins come in different metal colors and different lengths. The head pins you use should be at least 1/2 inch longer than the beads you want to use. These earring findings are called lever-backs, but any earring findings will work.

String the beads on the head pin.

Using your side cutters, trim the head pin to about 1/2 inch above the beads.

Use your pliers to bend the head pin at a 90-degree angle right above the beads.

Grab the very tip of the wire with the round-nose pliers. Holding tightly, roll the pliers back toward the beads, forming a loop. Don't quite close the loop yet. You will see that you can form any size loop, depending on where you grab the wire with the pliers.

Slip the opened end of the loop into the loop of the earring finding. Use the round-nose pliers to grab the loop and close it all the way. Make one more earring, and you are finished!
