Portable Project Storage
Yes, this looks like a big gray hamburger, but it could turn out to be a great storage solution for you. I have been beading many years and have tried many ways to pack up my beading projects and take them on the road. I need something that is not heavy and will hold the beads in place. I don't want to open the container to find everything spilled.
I found this case at the sporting-goods store. It is actually a case for a fishing reel. I have found that many kinds of fishing-storage items work well for beads, probably because lures and beads are often about the same size.
When the case is opened, you see that there are thick foam pads on the top and bottom. I can place my half-finished necklace or bracelet, along with the rest of the beads I will need, right on the foam. I zip it closed. The foam holds everything right in place. When I open it, the bracelet and beads are sitting exactly as I placed them. It is great!
A visit to the sporting-goods store might be just the ticket for you too!
